About SKW

Millions of adults worldwide attempt to write humorous things on a daily basis with little to no success.

Take us for instance.

Kids, on the other hand, often compose side-achingly hilarious quips with no real intention of being humorous. They’re pint-sized poets viewing the world through Groucho Marx glasses who scratch out their observations on whatever is handy. Writing funny stuff just comes naturally to them.

So we decided to start a site to feature the genius of the baby bards among us. Our own kids have written crazy-funny things and we figure so has pretty much every other kid in the universe.

We think you’ll enjoy this collection of stuff kids write. And we hope that you’ll share funny stuff you find that kids have written.

Leanne and Chase

Leanne Shirtliffe is a blogger and humor columnist whose motto is “If you can’t laugh at yourself, laugh at your kids.” You can read about life with her 8-year-old twins and husband at Ironic Mom. Leanne is the author of DON’T LICK THE MINIVAN: Things I Never Thought I’d Say As a Parent (Skyhorse, 2013). You can follow her on Twitter at LShirtliffe, on Facebook, or in her minivan, a.k.a. the Loser Cruiser.

Chase McFadden is standing in front of some mountains. When he’s not backdropping epic Wyoming vistas in his selfies, he’s attempting to keep up with his four spawn: Swim, Perpetual Motion, The Hellcat and Tax Credit #4. You can read about their adventures at Some Species Eat Their Young.
